This peach color is true, unheated and untreated. A delicate replication of the Oregon sunrise where it was mined. Oregon Sunstone is one of the rarest stones in the world, found only in the lava field deserts of Oregon. We purchased this rough from the Suncrystal Mines in Tuscon, Spring of 2016.
I cut this stone into a unique elongated oval design called Olive Bar. The design was written by the very talented Marco Voltini. When this stone is in motion, the rich peach colour flashes dramatically from the large checker facets of the crown.
This stone does not exhibit any of the coppery schiller that is common in many Oregon sunstone. The entire stone is a beautiful peach hue that will look stunning in silver or gold.
