A gorgeous bi-color green and yellow Sapphire from Australia! This 2.2 carat gem lives up to Australia's reputation for stunning green Sapphires.
I cut this Sapphire in 'Omni Oval', written by Robert Strickland and our personal favorite oval designs.
This Sapphire is assumed to have been treated with a standard heat treatment.
Sapphire has been popular throughout history, and that trend doesn't seem to be changing. Sapphire is a mineral called corundum, and it doesn't only come in the well-known royal blue. Corundum can be an array of colours and shades, including white, and red corundum is Ruby. Sapphires and Rubies have a hardness of 9, making it the hardest coloured stone after diamond, and is well suited for daily wear.
